Despatch 122 (H. H. Bell 1863)

US Steam Sloop Pensacola
Off New Orleans
November 5th, 1863

Sir
I herewith enclose a record of the proceedings of a Naval General Court Martial, convened by me, in the case of Acting Master's Mate Oscar E. Peck, US Steamer Tennessee.

I have ordered Mr. Peck to be confined in the Marine Barracks, Navy Yard Pensacola, there being no prison. As Mr. Peck is very young, I would respectfully request that so much of the sentence as relates to confinement be remitted and Mr. Peck dismissed forthwith.

I have the honor to be, sir
Very Respectfully
Your Obedient Servant
